Đurić underlined that Serbia is committed to the development of friendship and comprehensive relations with the Kingdom of Eswatini and all the countries and peoples of the African continent, recalling that these ties date back to the period of the SFRY and are based on mutual support, solidarity and understanding.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Eswatini for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
He informed his interlocutor about the progress of the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština and the problems of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, underlining that Serbia is unequivocally committed to peace and finding a lasting and sustainable solution, with full respect for the basic principles of international law and the legally binding UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Đurić informed his interlocutor about the economic successes of Serbia in the past decade, and said that there is a strong and unequivocal will to improve economic cooperation with Eswatini.
During the talks, it was noted that the economic relations of the two countries are not sufficiently developed, and the willingness to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was expressed on both sides.
At the end of the meeting, the General Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini on the establishment of a mixed standing commission for cooperation was signed.
