The statement says that there is reasonable doubt that this arrest, which was carried out by units of the Kosovo police for commercial crime, is yet another indication that Pristina wants to make new pressures on the Serbs in the province.
The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija warns the international community and representatives of EULEX that Pristina has continued with its provocations and pressures on the Serbs at the moments when agreements supported by the EU are being reached.
The Ministry believes that such policy by Pristina directly affects the worsening of the already complex situation, and that the EU mission should demonstrate status neutrality and take the initiative, because in the future we can expect similar activities by Pristina, the statement added.
Dragan Marinkovic and Ratomira Trajkovic from the village Ugljare near Kosovo Polje were arrested on the Bela Zemlja administrative crossing and are in 48 hour detention.
