The Serbian government adopted today the Decree on establishing the Programme for the use of funds to address housing needs and other programs for the integration of refugees in 2024.
The goal of this programme is to provide refugees from the former Yugoslav republics with a solution to their housing needs and provide assistance in the integration process. The number of families that will be beneficiaries of aid in 2024 depends on the number of applications submitted, and it is planned to solve the housing issue for at least 150 vulnerable refugee families.
The government adopted the Decree on the issuance of semi-postal stamp "Roof 2024" in the period from 15 April to 28 April 2024, in a circulation of 1,500,000 pieces and in the denomination of RSD 10 dinars, on the proposal of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
Government members adopted the Decree on establishing the Spatial Plan for the special purpose area of the tourist destination Kucaj Mountains, considering that in the Tourism Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2016 to 2025, this area is marked as suitable for the development of tourism within the wider tourist destination of Stig and Kucaj Mountains.
At the session, decisions were also made on presenting monetary awards for sports results to athlete Zorana Arunovic, who won the bronze medal in the Olympic Programme of Shooting Sport, 10m air pistol, individually, at the 2024 European Championship in Győr, Hungary, in the amount of €10,000 in the dinar equivalent, as well as to her coach Jelena Arunovic in the same amount.
