Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević said today that Serbia has shown that the concrete results of the "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey" programme have been achieved, which is why the third phase of that programme worth €41 million is opening.

According to her, the areas that will be the subject of the third phase of the project are the protection of freedom of expression and freedom of the media, strengthening of anti-trafficking, protection of human rights, fight against discrimination and fostering diversity, quality education for all, as well as human rights of detainees and convicts.
Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation in Serbia Nicola Bertolini expressed the hope that the financial framework will be adopted on 2 October, which would mean that pre-financing could be approved in the next month.
