Born in 1966 in Tuzla. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade in 1992. He obtained a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the Moscow School of Economics.

He lectured at the Faculty of Economics at the Moscow State University Lomonosov for five years.

He graduated from the 10th Class of the Security and Defence College in 2021.

He served as Minister of Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in two terms, from 2017 to 2022.

He was elected a Member of the Serbian parliament for three terms. In the period from 2008 to 2012, he was a Member of Parliament, after which he was Deputy Speaker of the parliament from 2012 to 2014. He led the parliamentary friendship group with the Russian Federation.

He is the founder of the company ABS Elektro and the ABS Elektro Foundation - a humanitarian organisation that supports various projects related to children, culture, science, education and sports.

He is the honorary president of the Saint Alexander Nevsky and the Immortal Regiment foundations from Belgrade.

He is the author of eight books and more than 120 scientific papers in the field of economics, regional development, management, economic relations between Serbia and Russia, as well as the economic development of the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija.

He is the holder of the Order of Humanity of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro for exceptional contributions to helping the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded him in 2010 with the Friendship Order for a special contribution to the development of economic and social ties between Serbia and Russia.

He is the holder of several orders awarded by the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as several recognitions awarded by the Russian Orthodox Church.

He is an honorary member of the Engineering Academy of Serbia.

He was the president of the Football Club Partizan.

He founded the Serbian People’s Party (SNP) in 2014.

He speaks Russian and English.
