Born in 1983 in Novi Pazar, where he completed primary and secondary school. He earned the title of teacher of physical culture at the University of Priština. He earned a Master’s degree in the field of tourism and hotel management at Alfa University in Belgrade.

He is the current Vice President of the Sandžak Democratic Party (SDP) and former President of the SDP City Committee.

From 2008 to 2012, he worked as an expert associate for sports and recreational tourism at the Tourist Organisation of Novi Pazar. He received the licensed tourist guide certification from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. From 2008 to 2012, he served as a member of the Management Board of the Novi Pazar Tourism Organisation.

Since 2012, he served as Director of the Novi Pazar Cultural Centre. He is the initiator and organiser of numerous cultural and artistic events, where through the complete reconstruction of the institution he created the most modern conditions for the quality organisation of all cultural and artistic events.

He is the winner of the 2018 Rodoljub Nićiforović Foundation award for his contribution to culture, as well as the 2019 Cultural Pattern award, which is awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia for dedicated work in the field of culture.

As a long-time athlete, he also worked for the Novi Pazar Handball Club, where he also recorded marked results.

He is actively engaged in humanitarian work and is the founder of the Otvorena Ruka humanitarian organisation, which operates in the area of Novi Pazar and the region.

He is a member of the Novi Pazar City Assembly.

In the elections for the Bosniak National Council (Bošnjačko nacionalno vijeće) in 2022, he was the leader of the SDP – Husein Memić ticket, which won by a landslide.

He is a deputy in the Bosniak National Council.

He was the Minister of Tourism and Youth from October 2022 to May 2024 and during the term from May 2024 to April 2025.

He has achieved significant results in the tourism and youth policy sectors, as well as in humanitarian work, especially in supporting children with diabetes. He initiated the introduction of protocols for these children in schools, which resulted in schools being equipped with glucose monitors and pumps, and he is also the winner of the Humane Gesture of the Year Award.

During his term, Serbia became the world’s leading destination in terms of foreign tourist revenue growth, with the number of foreign tourists in 2024 increasing by 42%.

A rural tourism support programme was also launched, and the number of rural tourism households doubled. New youth centres were established, and the youth policy budget for 2025 was increased by 25%.
