Two types of health insurance
There are two types of health insurance in the Republic of Serbia: mandatory and voluntary.
Mandatory health insurance provides employees and other eligible citizens with the right to healthcare and financial compensation in cases specified by law.
Voluntary health insurance is available for healthcare services that differ from, as well as a wider scope and higher standard of services than those covered by mandatory health insurance.
