Minister of Tourism and Youth
Born in 1983 in Novi Pazar, where he completed primary and secondary school. He earned the title of teacher of physical culture at the University of Pristina. He earned a master's degree in the field of tourism and hotel management at Alfa University in Belgrade.
He is the current vice president of the Sandžak Democratic Party (SDP) and former president of the SDP City Committee.
From 2008 to 2012, he worked as an expert associate for sports and recreational tourism at the Tourist Organisation of Novi Pazar. He has been a licensed tourist guide at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia since 2010. From 2008 to 2012, he served as a member of the Management Board of the Novi Pazar Tourist Organisation.
He is the organiser of numerous events in the field of sports and a member of the organisational team for performances at domestic and foreign tourism fairs.
Since 2012, he has been the director of the Novi Pazar Cultural Centre. He is the initiator and organiser of numerous cultural and artistic events, where through the complete reconstruction of the institution he created the most modern conditions for the quality organisation of all cultural and artistic events.
He is the winner of the 2018 Rodoljub Nićiforović Foundation award for his contribution to culture, as well as the 2019 Cultural Pattern award, which is awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for dedicated work for the benefit of our culture.
As a long-time athlete, he also worked in the Novi Pazar Handball Club, where he also recorded enviable results.
He is actively engaged in humanitarian work and is the founder of the humanitarian organisation "Otvorena ruka", which operates in the area of Novi Pazar and the region.
He was the Minister of Tourism and Youth from October 2022 to May 2024.
In that period, the Youth Strategy until 2030 and the Youth Action Plan for the next three years were adopted. Tourist traffic in 2023 increased by 9%, and 2023 was a record year marked by the largest state investments in tourist infrastructure.
He is a member of the Novi Pazar City Assembly.
In the elections for the Bosniak National Council in 2022, he was the holder of the "SDP — Husein Memić" list, which achieved a convincing victory.
He is a councilor in the Bosniak National Council.
He is the recipient of the award "Humane Gesture of the Year" awarded by "321 Serbia", for initiatives and results in the field of humanitarian work. He particularly distinguished himself in the fight for the rights of children with diabetes and is one of the initiators of the introduction of the Protocol on treatment in secondary and primary schools.
Married, father of three children.
