Minister of Foreign Affairs
He was born on 25 June 1983 in Belgrade. He graduated from the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Primary School and the First Belgrade Gymnasium. He studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade and completed his law studies at the Faculty of Law for Judiciary and Economy in Novi Sad.
In the period from 2020 to 2024, he was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the United States of America. At the same time, he served as ambassador on a non-residential basis in Suriname, Antigua and Barbuda, Colombia and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as an observer at the Association of Caribbean States and a representative of Serbia at the Caribbean Community.
He was Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija from 2014 to 2020. During his mandate, he visited Kosovo and Metohija more than 150 times.
As the head of Serbia's negotiating team in the dialogue with the temporary institutions of self-government in Pristina from 2012 to 2020, he led Serbian delegations in a total of 221 rounds of Brussels negotiations.
He was the head of the Committee for the Implementation of the First Agreement on the Normalization of Relations between Belgrade and Pristina, in which he created and defined the term and concept of the Community of Serb Municipalities.
From 2012 to 2014, he was the youngest advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia for foreign affairs.
He was the head of Serbia's negotiating team for Chapter 35 in the process of accession negotiations between Serbia and the EU and dozens of times a delegate at the sessions of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly.
He served as the head of the Working Group of the Government of Serbia for internal dialogue on resolving the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
He is the holder of the Order of Njegoš of the 3rd degree awarded by Republika Srpska, the Order of Nikola Tesla received from the Tesla Scientific Foundation and the Order of King Milutin, awarded by the Serbian Orthodox Church.
He conceived and co-designed the emblem that today marks Armistice Day in Serbia in the First World War – Natalija's Ramonda.
He is one of the founders of the Serbian Progressive Party and deputy chair of the party's Main Board.
He likes to run. He ran the Berlin Marathon in 2019 and numerous others.
He speaks English and Hebrew fluently and has elementary proficiency of French and Russian.
Married to Andrijana, the father of Jovana, Milica and Đurđa.
