Medvedev’s visit to Serbia

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will visit Belgrade on October 20. This is the first ever visit by a Russian President to Serbia since its emergence as an independent state, because of which it has gained historic importance.

Medvedev will meet with top Serbian officials in Belgrade and attend inter-state meetings between various delegations.

The Russian President will lay a wreath at the Memorial Graveyard of the Liberators of Belgrade to mark Belgrade Liberation Day during the Second World War. He will visit the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and attend a Solemn Academy at the Sava Centre.
