The future is now

With the Fourth Industrial, i.e. Digital Revolution, we have a chance to make up for lagging behind and catch up with more developed countries. This technological revolution will fundamentally change our lives, it is inevitable and unstoppable. Only winning societies choose to welcome changes, they do not shy away from them. The Serbian Government believes that Serbia is ready to lead the entire region in changes that will follow and creation of new possibilities for all. The digitisation process will enhance the standard and quality of life for hundreds of thousands of Serbian citizens. Efficiency will be increased, costs will be reduced and new value will be created in almost all areas of life and work. The digitisation process is the most important catalyst of innovations, competitiveness and growth.

eSignature (electronic stamp, electronic seal, electronic delivery, electronic storage, identification schemes)

In the world of information technology, a handwritten signature on a paper document as proof of authorship and acceptance of responsibility for the contents of the paper document is replaced by electronic signature of digital documents. While a handwritten signature can be counterfeited, this is impossible to do with an electronic signature. Electronic signing of the document allows the recipient of the document to verify the unchanged content i.e. guarantees the integrity of the signed document. Based on an electronic signature, the recipient of the document can determine the identity of the document signer, while the signatory may not deny signing of the signed document.

Digitalisation in the Republic of Serbia has gone a step further with the introduction of a qualified electronic certificate in the cloud. The Office for IT and eGovernment is registered in the Register of Qualified Trust Service Providers for the Service for remote management of qualified electronic signature creation device (in the cloud).

A qualified electronic certificate in the cloud (ITE CA) provides the user with electronic identification of a high level of reliability and gives the ability to use his qualified electronic signature remotely.

In this way, the user is not tied to the computer and can sign at a time and place that suits him. The user must install the ConsentID mobile application and use it to approve a qualified electronic signature remotely.

The term of validity of a qualified electronic certificate in the cloud is five years.
