After visiting a MTU stand at the Airbus Aviation Fair in Le Bourget and meeting with Schreyögg, Brnabic expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the future cooperation, and handed a letter to Schreyögg, which once again confirms the support to the partnership.
She stressed that cooperation with MTU is fully in line with the Serbian government's vision of developing a knowledge-based economy.
I want to thank you for your trust and the decision of MTU to invest in Serbia despite strong competition. It is a long-term partnership, and the beginning will be in October with the establishment of a training centre, the Prime Minister said.
According to her, the goal is to use this investment to create a cluster of the aviation industry in Serbia.
To have MTU in Serbia - it will be an invitation for other companies to invest in our country, Brnabic said, adding that Serbia is a reliable and competitive partner.
Schreyögg recalled the meeting in early May this year when the Memorandum of Understanding was signed and reiterated that the plan is for the company to start operating in Serbia in 2020 and to employ around 400 people.
Serbia will become part of the MTU family, Schreyögg said and expressed his special satisfaction because the contract with Serbia was achieved in a record time of six to eight weeks, not months as predicted.
