President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today a ceremony of promoting the youngest officers of the Serbian Army.
Vucic told the youngest officers in front of the House of the National Assembly of Serbia that they are an echelon of our country's freedom and sovereignty because they take up the most honourable duty of defending their state and people.
The ceremony in front of the House of the National Assembly was attended by the highest state and military leadership, guests from home and abroad, as well as numerous citizens.
The most successful cadets were awarded officer sabres and parade daggers by the President of Serbia and the Commander-in-Chief of the Army.
A decree of the President of the Republic on the promotion of cadets in the rank of lieutenant was read at the ceremony.
This was followed by a flying programme and a ceremonial cadet alignment.
