Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today in Banjaluka that, in an era of permanent instability across the world, Republika Srpska is a synonym of stability, peace and security and that everyone should respect this fact.
Speaking at a ceremony on the occasion of the Republika Srpska Day, Brnabic announced a new era of support of Belgrade to the Serbian people in Republika Srpska.
Keep on fighting for welfare, prosperity and peace and always count on the unreserved support from your Serbia, Brnabic declared, adding that Serbia as a mother land has the obligation to take care of the Serbian people wherever they live.
The Prime Minister announced that our country, in the year when 25 years since the signing of the Dayton Accords are observed, as a guarantor of that document, will continue to improve relations with Republika Srpska without harming anyone.
As it gets stronger economically, Serbia will set aside more funds for projects – schools, hospitals and roads in Republika Srpska and for the Serbian people in the region and beyond, and more attention will be paid to education and the young, Brnabic stated.
This year Serbia will have 1,000 schools with fast wireless Internet and 20,000 digital classrooms. We will bring all that knowledge to Republika Srpska in order to reform the education system there too and create the best possible jobs and job prospects for the young, she underlined.
The Serbian economy is getting stronger and we have more money to share, we will create jobs in Republika Srpska too, Brnabic said and added that this has already done with Yumco from Vranje and the first 100 women are undergoing training in Drvar.
Brnabic warned that bad things are happening in the region, referring to the developments in Montenegro and the attitude towards the Serbian Orthodox Church there, the believers and the essential issues of our common Serbian historical, religious and cultural heritage and identity.
The Prime Minister underlined that despite all the challenges, Serbia and the Serbs, regardless of where they live, must continue with a proactive and responsible policy when it comes to regional cooperation and with a wise and patient policy regarding the preservation of the identity and rights of the Serbs in the region.
She warned that we must not give in to provocation, nor collect cheap political points on potential conflicts and incendiary statements.
According to her, it is necessary to always send out a clear signal that we and this part of Europe need a better future – peace, stability, prosperity, jobs, higher salaries and pensions and more children.
