The government of the Republic of Serbia announced last night that the first foreign aid to combat the COVID-19 virus arrived in the Republic of Serbia from the People's Republic of China.
The COVID-19 virus detection tests were donated by the Chinese humanitarian organisation Mammoth Fondation. This non-profit charitable foundation, headquartered in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, is engaged in research into genetic engineering for the public benefit.
In the midst of the fight against coronavirus in the People's Republic of China, Mammoth Fondation has been of huge help, as it greatly assisted laboratories and hospitals, and has now turned to helping other countries in the world.
This foundation is funded by one of the world's leading companies in the field of genetic engineering, BGI, with its centre in Shenzhen.
The entire assistance action was coordinated by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belgrade, in cooperation with the government of Serbia.
The Republic of Serbia is very grateful to the People's Republic of China and the Chinese people for this assistance. We are convinced that with the help of our Chinese friends, with their expertise and experience, we will be able to successfully cope with the COVID-19 virus and that Serbia will emerge from this battle as a winner.
