The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted today new measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia, as well as foreign nationals with residence in the Republic of Serbia who enter the Republic of Serbia from the countries designated as hot spots of the COVID-19 virus epidemic, namely: the Republic of Italy, the Swiss Confederation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Romania, the Kingdom of Spain, The Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of France, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Greece, will be subject to mandatory self-isolation for 28 days.
All citizens of the Republic of Serbia, as well as foreign nationals who reside in the Republic of Serbia, who come from other countries, will be subject to a mandatory measure of self-isolation – isolation at home for at least 14 days.
Any disrespect for self-isolation measures will be punished most severely, in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Serbia.
The Republic of Serbia has banned the export of all medicines for 30 days for preventive reasons in order to supply our pharmacies with all the necessary supplies. Also, the purchase of protective masks is limited, which means that one person may buy up to 10 masks, 10 gloves, 2 larger packs or 5 smaller packs of disinfectants.
All counters of public institutions in the Republic of Serbia will be closed, except those whose closure would endanger the proper functioning of the state in times of emergency.
Bearing in mind that all the measures adopted so far have not yielded the expected results, the government of the Republic of Serbia does not exclude the possibility of taking even stricter measures to preserve the health of its citizens.
