The National Bank of Serbia has sent detailed instructions to banks on how to treat pension beneficiaries. The banks are obliged to enable all pensioners to collect pensions:
1) by issuing a special one-off authorisation for a person who will collect a predefined amount of pension with the person’s and the pensioner’s personal ID card; or
2) by delivering the pension to the pensioner’s home address.
All retirees who have payment cards can give them to trusted people to make a purchase for them or collect their pension.
Banks are obliged to contact their customers regarding the payment method, and pensioners may also contact specific bank phone numbers.
All citizens who have problems with the work of banks in the payment of pensions can write to the email isplata.penzija@gov.rs or contact telephone 011/7350 560.
