The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted today the latest measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including the decision to extend all self-isolation measures from 14 to 28 days and to ban movement on weekends from 15.00.
All citizens of the Republic of Serbia, as well as foreigners with a residence permit, who entered the country on 14 March and later, are being extended the mandatory self-isolation measure from 14 to 28 days.
This practically means that to anyone who has received a verbal or written home self-isolation decision for two weeks upon entering the country, the isolation automatically continues for another two weeks.
All citizens and foreigners with a residence permit, without exception, are obliged to respect the extended period of home self-isolation, which the competent authorities will regularly check in the coming period.
The duration of the ban on citizens' movement for weekend days has been changed. They will have to stay in their homes on Saturdays and Sundays from 15.00 to 5.00.
Citizens who are younger than 65 can leave their homes on weekdays from 5.00 to 17.00 on the week days. The oldest fellow citizens can leave their homes only on Sundays between 3.00 and 8.00 in the morning to buy groceries.
Guided by the expert opinion, the government of the Republic of Serbia has decided to withdraw the decision on the allowed walk of pets for 20 minutes between 20.00 and 21.00.
As Serbia is in the midst of fighting the infectious disease caused by COVID-19, it is recommended that all green markets are closed.
The government of the Republic of Serbia will continue to closely monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation and adjust all measures, relying solely on the advice of experts.
Once again, we urge all citizens to adhere to all measures without exception, so that we can all come together as soon as possible to emerge victorious from this battle.
