The Gender Coordination Body, the Ministry of European Integration and the EU Delegation in Serbia said in a joint statement that more than 14,000 most vulnerable women in 50 municipalities across Serbia will receive assistance worth €100,000 in hygiene packages and essential foodstuffs.

The money was provided with the financial support of the EU Delegation to Serbia, which diverted some of the funding from the IPA 2016 project "Key Steps to Gender Equality" and will be distributed to volunteers and Red Cross emergency teams, which will distribute aid to the most vulnerable women locally.
Chairwoman of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality Zorana Mihajlovic emphasised that the most vulnerable women in fifty municipalities receive assistance and food.
Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic said that it is very important for us to show solidarity and understanding for those who are most vulnerable.
Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi pointed out that €100,000 was earmarked for assistance to vulnerable women in 50 municipalities as part of the EU support package for Serbia in the fight against COVID-19.
Support for the implementation of this project activity will be provided by the Red Cross of Serbia.
