Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that the Serbian Parliament has not convened until now because the percentage of COVID-19 infections grew from 4.27% to 33.08%, the figure of 24 March.
Speaking in the parliament, where a discussion on confirmation of the Decision on declaration of the state of emergency is underway, Brnabic underlined that the Serbian government had asked this supreme legislative body to meet the very moment the conditions for that have been met.
She specified that on 10 March the percentage of those infected stood at 4.27% of those tested, and then the next day it jumped to 11.92%, on 14 March it was 17.6% and on 24 March as much as 33.08%.
The Prime Minister said that yesterday the number of confirmed infections out of those tested was 4.07%, which is why it was possible for the parliament to convene, with all the preventive measures in place.
