The conference has been organised under the auspices of the European Commission with the aim of raising funds for the fight against the pandemic COVID-19, and above all funds for testing and prevention.
France, Germany, Spain, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Italy responded to the invitation of the European Union.
The conference features European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, European Council President Charles Michel, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus.
Addresses by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and many other world leaders are planned.
