The Serbian parliament lifted tonight the state of emergency that was declared on 15 March over the coronavirus epidemic.
155 MPs voted in favour of lifting the state of emergency and no one voted against.
Lifting the state of emergency does not mean going back to the daily routine that had existed before 15 March as certain restrictions that were introduced to curb the spread of the coronavirus will remain in force.
The MPs also adopted the Law on validity of the decrees passed by the Serbian government during the state of emergency with a co-signature of the President of the Republic, and confirmed by the Serbian parliament.
The parliament abolished 11 decrees that were in force during the state of emergency.
In addition, the competent election commissions will adopt on 11 May decisions on the continuation of electoral activities.
