At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on the Youth Employment Incentive Programme "My First Salary", for the implementation of which funds in the amount of RSD 2 billion will be provided in 2020 and 2021.
This programme creates additional opportunities for training, gaining first work experience and increasing opportunities for more competitive participation of young people in the labour market and their employment.
The state will cover a part of the costs of their salaries for ten thousand young people, who have completed high schools and faculties, and thus motivate them to find their first job, and make it easier for employers to hire them. The funds will be forwarded to the National Employment Service, which is implementing the programme.
The new measures, which were adopted today, are the result of a meeting held in the government of Serbia by the Prime Minister Ana Brnabic with businessmen, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez and Director of the National Employment Service Zoran Martinovic.
The government also made a decision to send €100,000 in financial aid to the Republic of Lebanon in order to eliminate the consequences that occurred after the devastating explosion in the port of Beirut.
