The government determined the construction of the State Data Centre in Kragujevac as a project of importance for the Republic of Serbia, and instructed the Office for IT and eGovernment, among other things, to carry out the procedure of providing services to business entities for storing equipment on commercial terms.
The State Data Centre in Kragujevac, where the construction of the first phase is nearing completion, has a capacity of approximately 1,200 rack cabinets and is five times larger than the State Data Centre in Belgrade. It has two buildings with an area of 14 thousand square metres.
The data centre meets the highest standards provided for this type of facility, a standard that prescribes general aspects of the facility and infrastructure required to support the operation of telecommunications in data centres (SPRS EN 50600), a standard that ensures availability (TIER 4) and a standard that provides complete redundancy, that is, complete duplication of processes within the data centre (2N).
All business entities interested in storing equipment under commercial conditions at the State Data Centre in Kragujevac can send a letter of interest to the address of the Office for IT and eGovernment: Nemanjina 11, Belgrade, or to the e-mail kancelarija@ite.gov.rs.
