Brnabic symbolically opened this centre, placing a capsule on the pedestal, which contains messages from Kragujevac children, written during the laying of the foundation stone in 2019, and the robot Daca accompanied everything with video beams.
She emphasised that today, Serbia is becoming a country with the most modern data bank, where the data of citizens, domestic, but large world companies, will be stored.
Today is a special day, which represents a turning point in the further development of Kragujevac and Serbia and which shows that we are finally becoming a serious country with serious institutions, which protects citizens and their data.
We are also showing other countries that we can protect their data, said the Prime Minister.
Brnabic pointed out that today data is more valuable than money, because data creates money, noting that today is just the beginning of a new chapter in which Serbia charges for data storage to the world's largest corporations, and perhaps other countries.
This is the real Serbia, with its knowledge and talent, which has shown that it can implement even the most complex projects, said the Prime Minister and added that the Data Centre puts Kragujevac on the map of this part of Europe, because a similar institution does not exist even in the wider part of Central and South Eastern Europe.
The government of Serbia has determined the construction of the State Data Centre in Kragujevac as a project of importance for Serbia, since it is one of the capital investments in that city, whose value is 30 million euros.
The mentioned project will contribute to the improvement of the work of the public administration, which will speed up the procedures and simplify the daily life of the citizens and the business of the economy.
