The Ministry of Health announced that the first contingent of the drug against coronavirus Paxlovid arrived in our country today, just ten days after the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved the use and marketing of this drug.

Paxlovid against COVID-19 arrives in Serbia

Serbia is the first country in continental Europe to receive this drug (in Europe it was still delivered to Great Britain).
The commission of the Ministry of Health, chaired by the director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases Goran Stevanovic made a distribution list on the basis of which the medicine will be distributed among health institutions.
At the end of last year, Serbia was among the first, together with the USA and Great Britain, to sign an agreement with the representatives of Pfizer on the purchase of the best medicine against coronavirus, which reduces the risk of hospitalisation and severe diseases by up to 89 percent.
