Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic stated that yesterday was an extremely difficult day in Brussels, and that the Belgrade delegation, headed by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, fought for peace and to find a solution.
Speaking at a press conference, Petkovic underlined that we did our best to fight for peace and to continue with talks in order to go towards a compromise solution.
He said that many representatives of the international community admitted that the Belgrade delegation was committed, that it searched for solutions, and that everyone saw clearly how constructive the Belgrade delegation was, that it gave proposals and offered solutions and was willing to reach an agreement, whereas on the Pristina side and from Albin Kurti there was no readiness whatsoever.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that President Vucic will address the citizens on the current situation, dialogue, proposals and attitude of Albin Kurti on 21 August at 13.30.
Petkovic added that a meeting with political representatives from Kosovo and Metohija is also scheduled for Sunday at 11.00 at the Palace of Serbia.
