After the meeting in the Palace of Serbia, which was attended by Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic, Vucic pointed out that people from the north and south of Kosovo and Metohija showed indignation at the behaviour of the leadership in Pristina and the silence of the international community, and at the same time asked for more support from Serbia.
He explained that he first held consultations with representatives of the Serbian List and our institutions and bodies from Kosovo and Metohija, where it was agreed that a joint platform should be presented in seven days, as well as joint conclusions on many issues in the province, including the issue of the 23 April election, in which the Serbs, as he said, will not participate.
We agreed to continue working in the next seven days, so that we could come out with a joint statement on all the events that are ahead of us, he explained and announced that he will invite the Prime Minister and all ministers to the next meeting, which will be held in Raska.
The President said that the Serbs who live both south and north of the Ibar, as well as the Serbs from central Serbia, will always be united, and added that his request was to preserve peace always and in every way.
I am not too optimistic and I am afraid that some people did not understand that the essence is not whether we want to make a concession on some meaningless bureaucratic issues, but that the essence is to form the Community of Serb Municipalities and to stop jeopardising the security of the Serbian population, emphasised Vucic.
At the meeting, as he reported, there was talk of further economic and social progress of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija and what the state can do for the most vulnerable, for which there will also be concrete proposals in seven days.
