Vucic said that this morning he had excellent talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and added that Serbia, which is not a NATO member and does not want to become one because it wants to preserve its military neutrality, and Hungary, which is a NATO member, will cooperate in many areas, which concern the fight against terrorism and the use of modern military-police means.
According to him, this cooperation will cover all areas - from production to training.
Wishing a happy Serbian Army Day, Vucic expressed gratitude to its members for always being there to protect Serbia.
Our task is to keep the peace, and you can only keep the peace and protect the people if you have a strong army. We will continue to work on its development and I rate your exercise today with the highest grade - very good, the President concluded.
This event, which was organised on the occasion of the Serbian Army Day, was also attended by Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army Milan Mojsilovic, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljka Cvijanovic, as well as other representatives of the military and state leadership of Serbia.
The Serbian Army Day is celebrated on 23 April, in commemoration of the day when the Second Serbian Uprising began in 1815, which was a turning point in the creation of the modern Serbian state and army.
