During the meeting, all the necessary security activities with the purpose of strengthening Serbia’s defence capacities were agreed upon.
It was underlined that the NATO Mission in Kosovo and Metohija – KFOR failed to do its job prescribed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement from Kumanovo.
Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilovic is authorised to maintain direct contact with the commander of KFOR, in an attempt to ensure that this mission fulfils its function and mandate prescribed by the relevant UN acts and protect Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Republic of Serbia will be firm and unwavering in the protection of its people, it is underlined in the statement.
The session was attended by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who is also Secretary of the National Security Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic, Minister of the Interior Bratislav Gasic, Director of the Security and Intelligence Agency Aleksandar Vulin, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Milan Mojsilovic, Minister of Justice Maja Popovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic, Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia Zagorka Dolovac, Belgrade Police Director Veselin Milic and Serbian parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic.
