Government limits prices of petroleum products by year’s end

The Serbian government adopted today the Regulation on the mandatory production and sale of bread made from T-500 flour, which aims to protect the market and prevent distortions in the formation of the prices of this commodity, which is extremely important for the supply of consumers, especially for the underprivileged.

The regulation prescribes the maximum retail price for bread made from T-500 flour in the amount of RSD 54, i.e. the producer price of RSD 46.31.

In order to prevent major disturbances and preserve the standard of living of the population, and bearing in mind that the market is still unstable, the Serbian government limited the prices of oil derivatives until 31 December 2023.

At today's session, the Conclusion on the payment of one-time cash assistance to beneficiaries of cash social assistance, allowance for assistance and care of another person and special cash compensation for over 200,000 citizens of the Republic of Serbia was adopted.

Government members adopted several conclusions on the formation of working groups that should coordinate activities related to the improvement of the material position of employees in several areas.

The Conclusion establishing the Working Group for the coordination of activities to improve commodity and market operations in agricultural products, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, was adopted. Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanaskovic has been appointed her deputy.

The Conclusion on the formation of the Working Group for coordinating activities to improve the financial and labour-legal position of employees in the healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia was also adopted.

The Conclusion on the formation of the Working Group for the coordination of activities to improve the material and labour-legal position of employees in the social protection system of the Republic of Serbia was adopted, with the same task - analysis of the existing normative framework, which regulates the rights, position and salary of employees in the social protection system.
