Speaking at an extraordinary press conference held in the Serbian government, regarding the allegations made at a press conference of the CRTA non-governmental organisation, Brnabic pointed out that such a thing does not happen in any normal democratic country, that accusations are being spread against one’s own country all over the world that it rigged the elections, without providing evidence for it at any moment.
She recalled that CRTA observers, as well as representatives of the opposition, did not establish the purported irregularities in the elections through minutes and objections, nor did they submit any of the arguments and objections to the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Serbia, the Electoral Commission of the City of Belgrade and the prosecutor's office.
The Prime Minister stated that the only thing that is heard are guesses, half information and insinuations, without professionalism, objectivity and impartiality.
Brnabic recalled that in the elections of 17 December there were 109 objections and three appeals less than in the elections that were held in April 2022.
Speaking about the alleged voting of 40,000 people from Republika Srpska, the Prime Minister said that those people are not on the voter list and that it is impossible that they voted.
We presented the information that on that day, 20,360 people crossed the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, a significant number of whom does not have Serbian citizenship, and there were also many children, the Prime Minister stated.
She also pointed to the fact that the number of voters in Belgrade increased by only 0.8 percent, or about 12,907 citizens, in the period from April 2022 to December 2023.
