The Serbian government adopted today the Regulation on the distribution of incentives in agriculture and rural development in 2024, which distributes part of the budget funds in the total amount of RSD 77,534,504,683.
This regulation prescribes the scope of funds, types and maximum amount per type of incentive in agriculture and rural development for 2024, with the aim of supporting underdeveloped areas of agricultural production and improving the competitiveness of agricultural farms.
At the initiative of the Ministry of Rural Welfare, the government adopted regulations establishing three programs for the allocation of grants: for the purchase of a country house with a garden, the purchase of minibuses for the transportation of the rural population and the organisation of the "Miholjski susreti sela" (Autumn Village Encounters) event on the territory of the Republic of Serbia for 2024.
The goal of these programmes is to improve living and working conditions in rural areas.
Through the programme for the purchase of rural houses with a garden, for which RSD 500 million have been allocated, the stay and return of young people to the villages is encouraged, while the government has allocated RSD 120 million this year for the purchase of minibuses and solving the issue of rural population mobility.
In order to nurture the traditional way of life and cultural and historical heritage, the "Miholjski susreti sela" event was supported with a total of RSD 50 million.
