Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirovic stated today at the ministerial conference of the World Trade Organisation in Abu Dhabi that Serbia has the most attractive regime of foreign trade agreements in Europe.
Speaking at this meeting, Momirovic stated that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has signed free trade agreements with China, the Eurasian zone and Turkey, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the European Union, as well as preferential arrangements with the USA, Australia and Japan and that is why it is the most attractive country for attracting foreign companies and investments.
According to him, our main goal is for the average salary to be €1,400 in 2027, and the average pension to be €650, as well as to continue with even regional development.
We can do that only if we continue with responsible and courageous decisions that will contribute to the growth of citizens' standards and the attractiveness of our country in the world, the Minister pointed out and added that the goal of our country is to have a record level of foreign investments of more than €4.5 billion in 2024.
He said that Serbia will strive to avoid the recession that is affecting Western Europe and to continue dynamic economic development, noting that our country has all the predispositions for that – a quality workforce, excellent geographical position and developed infrastructure.
