Exercise "Whirlwind 2024" indicator of high level of competence of commands, units of Armed Forces

The Day of High Officials at the Joint Tactical Exercise was held with combat shooting "Whirlwind 2024" at the temporary training ground "Pester" today, in the presence of President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic.

Other members of the government, the leadership of Republika Srpska and numerous guests were also present.

The "Whirlwind 2024" exercise was carried out with the aim of further improving the training and capability of the commands and units of the Serbian Armed Forces to solve tactical and fire tasks during the preparation and execution of combat operations.

The ground and air components of our army and special forces participated, and according to the number and variety of engaged combat forces, the "Whirlwind 2024" exercise is one of the largest that the Serbian Armed Forces have carried out.

Vucic congratulated Vucevic, the Chief of the General Staff and all members of the Serbian Armed Forces on the successful exercise.

We still have a lot to do, a lot more things to repair, buy, make, to additionally rely on our military industry. What we saw today is almost entirely new compared to what we had 10 years ago, which shows how much Serbia has progressed, how much more successful it is and how much it has invested in its army, freedom and independence, the President of Serbia said.

The exercise was an opportunity, among other things, to demonstrate the operation of modernised equipment and equipment under development, including short-range drone, armed drones, killer drone, armed mini-quadricopter, etc.
