Cooperation between wine producers in Serbia and Chinese partners agreed

Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirović attended today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Association of Producers of Aromatized Wine “Bermet” with protected indication of geographical origin from Sremski Karlovci, the Association of Chinese Businessmen in Serbia, the company Ningbo Xiangmiao Technology Co., Ltd and the company Aronija Vita.

Momirović pointed out that this memorandum heralds a new era in the export of Serbian wines to the Chinese market, which already confirms the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement which was signed between Serbia and China.

He stated that by forming a joint sales centre in Sremski Karlovci, digitizing the existing offer and intensifying the promotion of Sremski Karlovci as a first-class wine destination, we want to bring Serbian wines even closer to our Chinese friends.

Momirović added that the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement with China are numerous and that it represents a special card for our agricultural producers compared to their colleagues from the rest of Europe, when it comes to entering the Chinese market.

Through the opening of the Chinese market and the reduction of trade barriers, he said, we are creating new opportunities for our businessmen to increase exports and improve competitiveness on the global market.
