On that occasion, Vučević said that the new building will enable 50 to 60 companies more and 300 to 400 people more to work in Čačak, which will contribute not only to the accelerated development of this city, but also the entire Moravica District and Serbia.
He added that the new science and technology parks are changing the face of Serbia.
This is a Serbia that is rapidly developing and moving forward, on the path of prosperity and progress, the Prime Minister said.
He pointed out that the results obtained from the existing capacities of the Science and Technology Park in Čačak are the best indicators of the justification for the construction of a new science park building.
We see today that the companies that started in 2020, 2021, 2022 at the time of corona and great challenges, not only for Serbia, but for the whole of humanity, today have a need to open new laboratories, get new spaces, have a need to expand, to employ new people and conquer new markets, the Prime Minister pointed out.
Begović pointed out that over 40 companies work in the Science and Technology Park in Čačak, that each one has developed its own original idea and innovation and that they are very ambitious and want to conquer the world market.
Director of the EBRD for the Western Balkans Matteo Colangeli reminded that 80 million euros were invested in the three NTPs supported by the EBRD.
I think this is a great example of what we can do quickly when we work with efficient and committed partners, Colangeli said.
The construction of the new NTP Čačak facility was financed by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), whereby the new facility will have a gross area of 12,759 square meters, and the total value of the investment is €20.2 million.
