Prime Minister Miloš Vučević spoke today with directors of the companies Holcim group and Lafarge BFC Serbia, Miljan Gutović and Dimitrije Knjeginjić, about new projects in Serbia in the field of construction material production.
Vučević welcomed new investments in Serbia, stating that this is essential for the even faster development of our country's economy, but above all for a better life for citizens.
Gutović and Knjeginjić presented the Prime Minister with new plans in the field of production of building materials, stating that Lafarge BFC Serbia plans to open a factory in Obrenovac where cement will be produced from the ashes of thermal power plants.
This company plans to invest €110 million in this factory in the first phase, Knjeginjić pointed out and added that this production will benefit Serbia and its economy, as well as that it is absolutely acceptable from an environmental point of view, because it solves the problem of landfills.
The goal of Lafarge BFC Serbia is that by opening a factory in Obrenovac, this municipality will become a hub for Serbia and neighboring countries when it comes to the production of construction material from ash from the ash pit, Knjeginjić said.
