Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said today that the sadness and pain for the children who were killed in Goraždevac 21 years ago will never go away and added that Serbia will never stop demanding punishment for the perpetrators of this crime.
Vučević said that today we remember with great sadness the innocent children who died in one of the most terrible crimes against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, for which no one has been held accountable to this day.
Our youth, the Serbian children who were swimming in the Bistrica river, got shot with automatic weapons, with burst fire. Two children were killed and four were wounded. What kind of monster does one have to be to fire a hundred bullets at children who are swimming? It is the peak of criminal hatred, he pointed out.
We will never stop demanding punishment for criminals, ferocious killers who took away the most valuable thing we have - our children, our future, the Prime Minister underlined.
Serbia will not stop mourning the innocent victims, but will also fight against the ideology of hatred and evil. We seek the truth and justice for all victims of mass and organised crimes against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Vučević stated.
On 13 August 2003, two Serbian children were killed and four wounded by gunfire while swimming in the Bistrica river. Pantelija Dakić (12) and Ivan Jovović (19) lost their lives, whereas Marko Bogićević (12), Dragana Srbljak (13), Bogdan Bukumirić (14) and Đorđe Ugrenović (20) were seriously wounded.
