First new maternity hospital to be built in Niš

Niš, 15 August 2024

Prime Minister Miloš Vučević announced in Niš today that preparations for the construction of a maternity hospital in that city will begin soon and that it will be completed in 13 or 14 months, adding that it has been agreed with the President of the Republic of Serbia to renovate or build from scratch 57 maternity hospitals across the country.

After the talks with Mayor of Niš Dragoslav Pavlović, Vučević pointed out that the preparation of project documentation for the new maternity hospital will start as soon as tomorrow.

The Prime Minister said that other topics discussed were Čair Stadium, the relocation of the railway and the continuation of infrastructural projects.

We will do great things for Niš together will the local administration, the Prime Minister stated and congratulated Pavlović on his election as Mayor of Niš a few days ago.

Vučević also visited the Science and Technology Park in Niš and underlined that this is one of the projects that are pulling Serbia into the future.

The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the fact that we have many capable, talented and hard-working people, which is a strength that we very much need.

He also commended the new Science and Technology Park 2 project, where the working space and the number of companies will be doubled, and therefore the number of employees, noting that a new student centre and dormitory will be built.
