Measures for protection of cultural monuments, archaeological sites adopted

The Serbian government adopted today a number of decisions related to establishing protection measures, boundaries of the protected areas and the measures of protection of the protected area of cultural monuments as immovable cultural property of exceptional importance, as well as archaeological sites that received the status of exceptional importance.

Government members adopted the Decision on establishing protection measures, boundaries of the protected area and the measures of protection of the protected area of the monument of culture Manasija Monastery, an immovable cultural asset of exceptional importance, as well as the Decision on establishing protection measures, boundaries of the protected area and the measures of protection of the protected area of the monument of culture Church of St. Achillius in Arilje.

Also, the Decision on establishing protection measures, boundaries of the protected area and the measures of protection of the protected area of the archaeological site Caričin grad was adopted.

At the session, decisions were also adopted on the designation of Dvorina - the Hungarian cemetery in the village of Banja as an immovable cultural asset - an archaeological site of exceptional importance and on the designation of Mora Vagei in Mihajlovac as an immovable cultural asset - an archaeological site of exceptional importance.

Members of the government passed the Decision on changing the name of the Yugoslav Cinematheque to the State Audiovisual Archive of Serbia Yugoslav Cinematheque.
