Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today that members of the Ministry of the Interior searched the Drina river in the area of Ljubovija, where a boat with irregular migrants overturned, and found the body of a baby, while the police of Republika Srpska pulled out the body of another male person from the Drina.

Dačić explained that the baby is the tenth victim of the overturning of the boat with irregular migrants who tried to cross this river from Serbia between the town of Drlača near Ljubovija and Orlica in the municipality of Zvornik.
He specified that members of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior have so far recovered the bodies of six men, a woman and the baby, while members of the Republika Srpska police found the bodies of two men.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that out of a total of 18 surviving irregular migrants, 16 are from Syria and two from Egypt, eight of whom are adults and ten are minors.
He said that the identification of the lifeless bodies is ongoing, noting that the Serbian Ministry of the Interior is cooperating constantly with the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska regarding this event.
