Prime Minister Miloš Vučević spoke today with Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Jan Braathu about the position of national minorities in Serbia and the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
Vučević pointed out that the government of Serbia is particularly committed to adequately addressing all the challenges that minorities may face through dialogue, stressing the high representation of minorities in the political and democratic processes in the country.
The Prime Minister also expressed concern about the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the unilateral moves of Priština, which do not contribute to calming tensions, but rather make the position of the Serb community in the southern Serbian province more difficult every day.
He briefed Braathu on the terror of Kurti’s regime to which Serbs are continuously exposed, stressing that Serbia will remain committed to preserving peace and stability in the interest of the entire region.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the cooperation with the OSCE Mission, since its establishment in Serbia, has an example of a good partnership relationship and great support in almost all important reform processes in the country.
Vučević conveyed his appreciation to the OSCE Mission in Serbia for constructive cooperation and support in the field of strengthening institutions and the civil sector, the rule of law, strengthening human and minority rights, as well as encouraging dialogue at the national and regional level.
