Blockade in trade in Serbian products in Kosovo and Metohija should be solved

Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirović said today in Berlin, after a ministerial session within the framework of the Berlin Process, that the ban on trade in Serbian products and the blockade of the CEFTA agreement, which has lasted for more than two years, were the key topics for Serbia.

Momirović pointed out that this not only undermines economic flows, but also directly destabilises the entire region.

He said that during the difficult talks held in Berlin today, he reminded his interlocutors that the constant pressure on the Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija is unacceptable, and that this issue must no longer be ignored.

According to him, Serbia is finally seeing clear signs of understanding from the officials of the Federal Republic of Germany, especially Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck, as well as representatives of the European Union.

The minister expressed his gratitude for their willingness to recognise the seriousness of the situation, stating that they agreed that such unacceptable practices must be stopped.

He added that Serbia expects concrete steps and solutions that will permanently ensure respect for its rights and the free flow of goods, in accordance with international agreements and European values.
