During Popović’s talks with Minister of Finance, Budget and Development Planning Audace Niyonzima and Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism Marie Chantal Nijimbere, cooperation between the two countries in the fields of artificial intelligence, infrastructure and university cooperation was also discussed.
Popović pointed out that Serbia is promoted in Africa as a knowledge-based economy, noting that the country’s seed institutes, faculties and the BioSense Institute can make a huge contribution to the development of agriculture in Burundi.
The minister assessed that Serbian ICT companies, together with companies from other areas, can propose integrated solutions in all parts of the economy for Burundi.
