At the presentation to journalists of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the Reform Agenda of the Republic of Serbia, together with Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Emanuele Giaufret and coordinator of the National Convention on the EU Bojana Selaković, Miščević stated that it is necessary to amend three laws, that is, to amend the laws on electronic media and on public information and media, i.e., adopt a new law on public media services.
Also, it is necessary to adopt the Action Plan for the Anti-Corruption Strategy and additional harmonisation with the EU visa regime for the additional three countries whose citizens need a visa to enter the Union, the Minister added.
Only when the European Commission confirms that we have fulfilled all the measures, then we can receive the money from the first tranche, Miščević presented.
Giaufret pointed out that, according to estimates, Serbia will be able to count up to €1.58 billion from the Growth Plan, with IPA financing.
He said that the aim is to speed up the integration process, which is indicated by the very speed of establishing the Growth Plan, the legal basis, budgeting in just one year, and all this with the elections in the European Union.
On 3 October, the Government of Serbia adopted the Reform Agenda, a document containing a list of selected reform areas.
