Vučić said that in the first wave Priština accused Belgrade and Serbia of the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal, emphasising that neither Belgrade nor Serbia knew anything about it, and that the investigation will show who the perpetrator could be.
Except that we have nothing to do with this incident, we were so fair and as a serious country we did not deal with accusations and we did not say that the attack was, I will not say it even today, directly ordered by Kurti, because the investigation will show what happened, the President of Serbia said.
Serbia is conducting its investigation. We have certain doubts, but the investigation will finally show what happened. We think we have some information about who the perpetrator could be. We will continue to work hard, but until we finish it, we will not inform the public and shift the blame to someone else, said Vučić.
The President of Serbia reiterated that Belgrade had no interest in causing any damage to the Ibar-Lepenac canal, and that there are five reasons why Priština is accusing Belgrade of the attack.
According to him, the first reason is the goal that members of the so-called Kosovo Security Force be stationed in the north of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, while the second reason is the attempt by the so-called Kosovo authorities to stop the European integration of our country by shifting the blame to Serbia, considering that on 4 December a decision will be made on whether and when a cluster will be opened for Serbia.
He stated that the reasons for the false accusations by the temporary Priština institutions include the elections that will be held in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija on 9 February, with the intention of denying the Serb List the right to participate.
According to him, the fourth reason has to do with Kurti’s desire to increase his rating, while the fifth reason is the further crushing of the Serb community through intimidation and house raids, i.e. making life unbearable for these people.
The President underlined that Belgrade is ready to continue cooperation with the EULEX, KFOR and the Priština police in resolving this incident.
We are completely open to full cooperation with everyone. On any issue, all our data, anything they want, they can get them at any time, even Priština. We are absolutely ready to talk about everything that happened, Vučić said.
