The works on the modernisation and reconstruction of the railway are still ongoing and the procedure for issuing consents and permits is naturally not completed.
We emphasise that the last issued document for the station building in Novi Sad was issued on 16 October 2024 through the CRIP.
The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, which is both the Project financier and the first-instance body for the procedure, in accordance with Article 133 of the current Law on Planning and Construction, has submitted to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for publication the additionally requested Annexes 1, 2 and 3 of the Commercial Agreement on the Modernisation and Reconstruction of the Hungarian-Serbian Railway in the Territory of the Republic of Serbia for the Section Novi Sad-Subotica-State Border (Kelebija).
From the published Project documentation, it can be seen that it was prepared in accordance with the Law on Planning and Construction and implementing regulations, while the initially published documents were selected and focused only on the station building, not the project as a whole.
Belgrade-based joint-stock company for public railway infrastructure management Infrastruktura železnice Srbije informed the Government of Serbia that on its website, acting in accordance with the Government’s Conclusion of 12 December 2024, it disclosed to the public the documents available to it regarding the implementation of this project. (https://infrazs.rs/dokumenta_o_padu_nadstresnice/).
We emphasise that all authorities have informed the Government that they have submitted available documents; or in cases where original documentation has been physically exempted by the prosecutor’s office and is not included in public electronic records, that it is unavailable for publication and could not have been submitted in response to the Government of Serbia’s request, as the authorities do not have it.
The technical procedure for publishing documents is ongoing and so far 38.4 GB of documentation has been submitted for publication.
The Government of Serbia and Infrastruktura železnice Srbije will notify the public once the publication of the documents is complete.
