Speaking at a ceremony marking Republika Srpska Day, Vučević emphasised that only all three constituent peoples can build a better future in Bosnia and Herzegovina together.
He noted that the Dayton Peace Agreement brought a framework that stopped the terrible war and the suffering of all peoples in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that respected the people's aspirations and reality, warning that today we see conscious intentions to undermine and destroy the Dayton framework.
The Prime Minister emphasised that we must have complete understanding and agreement on all key issues that determine the future in order to preserve our national interests and justice.
Political life must be such that it respects the national interest and justice as the guiding idea in the first place. All our differences, all our misunderstandings or interests must be subordinated to the need to achieve a secure future and the survival of the Serbian people, he said.
Vučević expressed his belief that the peoples of the Balkans have the knowledge and ability to develop mutual relations in peace, that our children and descendants do not go to foreign countries to seek peace and progress, but that we provide it for them here.
Only together can we build a better future for all peoples, he reiterated and added that he believes in the future of the Balkans, which is connected by the economy, not by trenches.
I believe that our peoples want to develop relations in peace, respect and appreciation, that they are ready to provide a secure future for all our children. On this path of peace and success, Serbia offers an outstretched hand to all peoples, the Prime Minister said.
A ceremonial reception was organised tonight at the Administrative Centre of the Government of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, which was attended by a Serbian delegation led by Prime Minister Vučević, as well as Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
The guests were welcomed by Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković.
