Prime Minister Miloš Vučević attended at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Belgrade the seeing off of young people from Serbia on the first direct flight from Belgrade to Shanghai, which the national airline Air Serbia will launch tonight.
On that occasion, in the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming, Vučević emphasised that it is a historic success that Serbia, as a small European country, has three direct flights to China, assessing that this is a confirmation of the steel friendship between the two countries.
Considering that the young people will not only visit Shanghai, but also other cities, the Prime Minister assessed that they will return more experienced and richer in knowledge and understanding of some other relationships and circumstances that may not be familiar to us in this part of the world.
Vučević expressed his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for the agreement that includes an international youth culture camp, explaining that they are the second group to go, but that he believes that a third group will be organised soon too.
He also expressed his gratitude to the company Minth for its support for the project, recalling that he visited the company's factories when he was in Shanghai.
Air Serbia will establish direct flights between Belgrade and Shanghai at 00:40, and the flights will be operated twice a week.
